Former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, and the governorship candidate of the Rivers APC, Dakuku Peterside, on Sunday expressed gratitude to God for the Tribunal’s judgment which nullified the
election of Governor Nyesom Wike.

Speaking Sunday evening at a forum of the Rivers APC in Port Harcourt Amaechi said that those familiar with his political history know that things sometimes don’t come easy.
I’m not a good fan of Amaechi but I agree with him on that. Amaechi never campaigned once before the Supreme Court awarded him the governorship of Rivers state – on a platter.
The quest by the tribunal-sacked Governor Nyesom Wike to drag former Governor Rotimi Amaechi to his (Wike’s) appointed Rivers State Judicial Board of Enquiry into Amaechi’s embezzlement of government funds and subsequent White Paper issued by the Rivers government – which was all part of the petition galore before the Senate committee which handles petitions against ministerial nominees – will collapse like a pack of cards.
Consequent on the sacking of Wike by the Rivers state election petition tribunal which sat in Abuja on Saturday, Wike’s judicial enquiry findings and consequent White Paper have all been consigned to the dustbin of nullity.
Amaechi is expected to sail thru the senate ministerial confirmation on Tuesday – unless Sen. Godswill Akpabio and his goons decide to take their own pound of flesh (despite Wike’s ouster) during the senatorial confirmation of Amaechi on the floor of the red chamber.
I can assure you that the “Fear of Buhari” is still potent as I write this blog post –
