Trump ‘scares  the hell out of me’ – NY police chief

The head of the largest city police department in America and also the world on Wednesday said the3 GOP nominee, Donald Trump, is unfit to lead, saying the Republican mogul “scares the hell” out of him. “Mr Trump scares me, scares the hell out of me to be quite frank with you,” New York police commissioner Bill Bratton told CBS News a day after announcing that he would retire in September.

Bratton said he did not “get” why the Republican nominee, whose home he has visited, commanded so much support. “I’m amazed that veterans groups are so charmed by him,” said the outgoing police chief, who himself served in Vietnam. “I’ve just watched this whole campaign and I just shake my head. I wonder if he’s ever actually taken a punch in his life. It’s a lot tougher being soft and understanding when you need to be soft. Like the apology to this family (Muslim family of son who died in Iraq). I know many people who are, who are very strongly supportive of him, although they have questions. But again, it’s troubling,” Bratton told CBS.

Obama rebukes Trump

President Barack Obama on Tuesday delivered a virtually unprecedented rebuke of a presidential nominee, calling Trump “unfit” to be president and called on Republican leaders to disown him and stop backing him

Queen protests Trump’s use of ‘We Are the Champions’

Rock legends Queen on Tuesday lodged the latest protest against Donald Trump after the presidential candidate played the band’s iconic anthem “We Are the Champions” at the Republican National Convention.

“An unauthorized use at the Republican Convention against our wishes,” the British band said in a succinct statement posted on Twitter. Trump — who took the stage to “We Are the Champions” through a cloud of dry ice on the Cleveland convention’s first day on Monday — went ahead with the song despite public pleas from the band. Guitarist Brian May said in June that Trump had not asked before previously playing the song and that the band would “never give permission.” May said that, whatever the band’s views on Trump, it did not allow politicians to play Queen songs including “We Are the Champions,” one of the most recognizable rock tracks which is frequently played at sporting events.

Trump gives ‘retching feeling’ – French president

French President François Hollande said Tuesday that Donald Trump’s “excesses” give those watching a “retching feeling,” adding his voice to the onslaught of criticism directed at the Republican candidate.

“His excesses end up giving a retching feeling, even in the US, especially when — as was Donald Trump’s case — he speaks ill of a soldier, of the memory of a soldier,” Hollande told reporters in Paris.

In a stark rebuke, he denounced Trump’s comments on Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the Muslim parents of an American soldier killed in Iraq, as “offensive and humiliating.”

Last week the French president angrily countered Donald Trump’s statement following terror attacks in Nice and Normandy in France –  over which Trump said un-apologetically that “France is no longer France.”

Clint Eastwood Slams Trump for Saying ‘a Lot of Dumb Things’

Veteran icon of cowboy films or westerns, Clint Eastwood, poses with his son Scott for Esquire. He slamed Donald Trump for Saying ‘a Lot of Dumb Things’

Clint says he hasn’t endorsed anyone, but he actually weighed in on Donald Trump.

“You know, he’s a racist now because he’s talked about this judge,” he explains, referring to Trump’s remarks about Judge Gonzalo Curiel. “And yeah, it’s a dumb thing to say. I mean, to predicate your opinion on the fact that the guy was born to Mexican parents or something. He’s said a lot of dumb things.”

Lest you think the outspoken Republican partyman is leaning towards Hillary Clinton, Eastwood adds in defense of Trump, “So, have all of them. Both sides. But everybody, the press and everybody’s going, ‘Oh, well, that’s racist.’ They’re making a big hoodoo out of it. Just f**king get over it. It’s a sad time in history.”

Trump is still trudging on towards the White House on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC, albeit with unabashed caution, despite very strong American and international opposition to his emergence as the candidate of a major political party in the world. There is also the fear of Trump’s anticipated or predictable dictatorial or authoritarian rule if he wins the Presidency of the United States of America. The fear of Donald Trump appears to be the “beginning of wisdom”. What exactly will the White House look like if Donald Trump defeats Hilary Clinton? Will the presidential mansion, first occupied by the 2nd American President, John Adams (1797–1801) become a branch of Trump Towers in New York? Well, who is afraid of Donald Trump? Many people!
