The former British Prime Minister who resigned as Prime Minister in the wake of the British exit from the European Union (EU) i.e. BREXIT, David Cameron, has announced he will stand down as a member of Parliament for his constituency of Witney immediately, triggering a by-election . . .
Cameron served in the British Parliament in London since 2001. He stepped down as Prime Minister in the aftermath of June’s Brexit vote in which the UK decided to leave the European Union.
Cameron had previously said that he was “keen to continue” in Parliament as a backbench Member of Parliament (MP) after leaving from No 10 Downing Street but has since decided such a role is untenable.
